July Favourites 2015
Hi!
I cannot believe that it is already August! July came and went too quickly, so here are the products that I could not live without this past month:
My lips do not combine very well with the heat and powerful sun rays of the summer, which is why lip balms are my best friends. The CARMEX Lip Ointment is perfect for application on the go and is super moisturizing with a tingly, medicated feeling and scent. At night, I opt for the CARMEX Lip Balm since it is thicker and perfect for an overnight moisturizing lip mask. Overall, both products make my lips feel extra moisturized and healthy during temperatures that dry my lips out the most, while also giving them a healthy shine.
DIOR Tie Dye Topcoat
What is summer without a fun nail polish? As part of their summer limited edition Tie Dye collection, Dior released a top coat that when applied in a certain sequence offers a mistake-proof pink ombré nail art. I applied this on top of a white base coat to really make it pop.
MAC "Golden" Bronzing Powder
Bronzed skin is an absolute MUST in the summertime, especially when you are pale like me. To achieve that natural glow I apply the MAC Bronzing Powder in the shade 'Golden' to my temples, cheeks, and jawline. Side-note: although Golden is a permanent shade in the collection, I purchased mine in the limited edition packaging from last years summer collection. I especially loved it because the packaging contained a mirror that is perfect for on-the-go touch-ups!
MAYBELLINE NEW YORK The Rocket Mascara
Not only is this mascara in this months favourites, it's also my holy grail drugstore mascara! I've gone through so many of these, but I particularly love it in the summer since it holds a curl and feels super light on my lashes. The Rocket mascara gives my lashes a fuller, lengthier and natural appearance, no clumps here!

NIVEA Sun SPF 30
While my CARMEX lip products prevent my lips from chapping, they still require extra protection from the sun. The SPF 30 lip balm from NIVEA is perfect for this and I always use it right before going out, usually as a base under another lip product.
