Best of 2015

So 2015 has come to an end! It was a good year, especially for makeup and beauty products. It is always fun to look back at the products that I used so often as well as those that were added to my collection in the past year, and 2015 did not disappoint. Here is a list of my favourite beauty products from 2015!

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer

My sleeping schedule was not nicely regulated this past year and this concealer got me through those terrible dark circles every morning. It is very blend-able and has amazing coverage and staying power. For that extra brightening effect I set it with my Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder which also happens to be a yearly favourite of mine...

Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder

It perfectly compliments my MAC Pro Longwear concealer and I used it every single day. It is very fine and contains just the right amount of sparkle that gives my dark under eye circles much needed brightening.

NIVEA Hydro Care

I have very dry lips and I swear by Carmex products, however this year I discovered this amazingly nourishing and hydrating balm from Nivea that meets the same expectations of my Carmex products. It is super moisturizing and I went through many tubes of this in 2015.

Prada Candy

I am a chocolate/candy addict so when beauty and sweets pair up I will most definitely purchase. This perfume smells heavenly and is definitely my favourite perfume of the year. It contains caramel and vanilla as ingredients and definitely lives up to its candy title!

Dolce & Gabbana Sophia Loren Lipstick

I went a little crazy when this was launched because one, I adore Sophia Loren, and two, it was unexpected on my part and I went insane trying to get it shipped to Canada. It was so worth the crazy shipping cost because the colour was absolutely amazing and smelled like roses <3. It was also my first Dolce&Gabbana beauty purchase and I must say I will definitely be adding more to my collection when I get the chance!

The MAC Limited Edition Collections

Every year MAC releases a bunch of limited edition products often in irresistible special packaging. I always fall for limited edition anything, but I usually only actually pick up the items I know I cannot live without. At the beginning of the year MAC released their Cinderella collection and I was absolutely in love with the lipstick "Royal Ball", however it sold out so fast and I never got the chance to purchase it (there were some surprise restocks on the Macy's website late in the year though so you never know there might still be a chance). Not too long after MAC released their summer collection called "Wash and dry" with nice summer colours and awesome multicoloured packaging. I never miss a summer collection and I picked up the lipstick "Crème D'Nude". Next came the very anticipated Giambattista Valli collaboration. This one was hyped for months prior to the release, and although I didn't plan on it, I ended up purchasing the light pink "Bianca B" lipstick (which I still have not used since it does not suit my fair complexion whatsoever, but it was too hard to pass up). Finally MAC did wonders with their holiday collection and that amazing purple packaging where I picked up "Please Me". I love when MAC repackages their already permanent lipsticks that way I can fall in love with a colour and use it without the worry of never being able to repurchase it!
