Diorific Matte Fluid Swatches & Review
It's been a while.
The Holiday season is every make up enthusiasts' dream; the Sephora VIB sale (coming up in my next post), and every company releases limited edition products in irresistible packaging, sometimes even introducing a brand new product.
Dior is one of my all-time favourite brands and I use their products religiously, and every holiday season they release their usual nail polishes and lipsticks in adorable gold packaging. This time however, Dior decided to get on the matte liquid lipstick train and release the Diorific Matte Fluid as part of their limited edition Holiday 2016 collection. I was super excited because I mean come on, more liquid lipsticks!
The collection consists of 4 shades (listed on their website):
003 Treasure - a rosewood infused with blue
004 Luxury - a fiery red
I bought two; 001 and 003 because they are shades I would wear more often.

The product claims to apply as a cream and then dry to a powdery finish, and can be used as a lip or check colour.
I've worn both colours on my lips throughout my day and here is what I think:
-The colours swatch just like the colour seen in the bottle, and are super pretty.
-The product is a lot more sheer than I expected, although it is buildable I prefer my liquid lipsticks to be opaque with one swipe.
-The formula is very light, which is probably why it is sheer, and it dries to the powdery finish claimed
-It is not drying at all! The formula feels more of a satin than a matte even though it dries like a matte which I've never experienced in liquid lipsticks.
-As for staying power, it barely survived a meal and I had to reapply, but this was expected since it is a lighter formula.
-The applicator is a little odd at first since it's short, other than that it's a typical liquid lipstick applicator.
Overall I like this product as it is so natural and effortless to pull off. However I don't think it is absolutely life changing, so with that I say if you're a devoted Dior fan like I am or just a make up lover who is addicted to gorgeous packaging then it is a must have, however if you are not then you can live without this product, especially for the price.
